It has been quite a day. Quite a week of epiphanies, knowings. Things are ramping up and I find it exhausting.
Keeping a promise with myself, I cancelled my satellite television company. I could not spend $35 a month to continue the service. It felt like I made a pact with the devil when I first went with them. If you want to know who they are, please message me.
So much is coming to the forefront now. The earth is angry. Why wouldn't it be? People are confused, frustrated and few see their part in any of this.
Fast forward to now. The knoll on which I live is verdant. The rains last night and today have moistened and cleared the ground. There were cracks in the soil before this. I suspect some are due to the host of animals that traverse the land I steward. They have come to share something with me.
It is always the little things that bring so much joy. Mama Carolina wren sits on her nest day after day. I have not observed any cracks in the eggs.
Once again, my home is quiet. Just as I like. Soon, the receiver will be returned. It can't get out of my house fast enough. And with it, all the pollution the popular television stations bring. Now I will need to finally purchase something with which to hear music. But what?
It is good to have so few challenges. I am more than grateful. It is the universal sound.
